Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Amman
Meet and help at Amman International Airport, then transfer to your accommodation.
Day 2: Amman – Jerash – Amman
Early in the morning, you will explore the Amman Citadel, the Archaeological Museum, and the Roman Theatre before driving north to Jerash (Gerasa), once known as Gilead and known in the Bible as the Gerasenes’ territory. It was part of the Roman Decapolis and is frequently described to as the Pompeii of the East. Visit its theatres, temples, churches, and colonnaded streets before driving back to Amman to your hotel for supper and overnight.
Day 3: Amman – Madaba – Nebo – Kerak – Petra
After breakfast, go to Madaba to see the renowned mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Your next destination will be Mount Nebo, where you will be able to see the Holy Land and the Dead Sea, and if the sky is clear, Jerusalem, Jericho, and Bethlehem will be visible. The tour will continue via the King’s Highway, up to Karak Castle, where Saladin and Richard Lionheart battled during the crusade, and finally to Petra for supper and overnight.
Day 4: Petra tour
A glorious day awaits us as we tour the numerous sights of Petra, the Nabatean city cut into the rose-red rocks and lost to civilisation until rediscovered by Swiss adventurer Burkhardt. To access the Treasury, the Nabatean Theatre, the Royal Tombs, the Roman Road, the Great Temple, the Temple of the Winged Lion, and the basin, go via the Siq, a small and meandering fissure between the cliffs. The tour will continue via the King’s Highway, up to Karak Castle, where Saladin and Richard Lionheart battled during the crusade, and finally to Petra for supper and overnight.
Day 5: Petra – Wadi Rum – Aqaba
Today we drive south to Wadi Rum, Lawrence of Arabia’s homeland; you will cross the renowned seven pillars of knowledge mentioned by Lawrence of Arabia and explore Wadi Rum by vehicle for two hours, guided by a Bedouin guide. Climb one of the sand dunes and see Lawrence Springs, Al Khazali Canyon, and the inscriptions written by the Thamudic and Nabatean people centuries ago. Drive south to Aqaba and check into your hotel for supper and an overnight stay.
Day 6: Aqaba – Taba – St. Catherine - Cairo
This morning, you will cruise from Aqaba to Taba, where you will meet and help before transferring to Sainte Catherine in South Sinai, where you will see the Monastery of Saint Catherine at the base of Mount Sinai before continuing to Cairo for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Giza Pyramids Tour in Cairo
After breakfast, begin your full-day guided tour with a visit to the 4500-year-old Giza Pyramids, followed by visits to the three Great Pyramids (Cheops, Chephren and Micerinus) and an interior look at one of the Queens Pyramids.
Day 8: Aswan Nile Cruise Tour
Transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight to Aswan after breakfast. Transfer to your Nile Cruise (for 3 nights), lunch on board, and begin a full day excursion to Aswan to explore The High Dam and The Unfinished Obelisk, then take a motor to Philae Temple, the Temple of Love for Goddess Isis. Afternoon Felucca ride over Elephantine Island and Kitchener Botanical Island, followed by dinner on board your cruise.
Day 9: Sailing on the Nile
Breakfast aboard your cruise ship.You will sail through the rich Nile Valley with two stops at Komombo and Edfu Temples; one stop will be to see the Kom Ombo Temple of the Crocodile God Sobek, and the other will be to ride a horse carriage to the Edfu Temple of the Falcon God Horus.Continue cruising to Isna Lock, then have lunch and dinner on board your Nile Cruise.
Day 10: Luxor Nile Cruise Tour (West Bank)
Breakfast on board your cruise, followed by visits to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Temple of Hatshepsut, and Colossi of Memnon, as well as the option to meander about Luxor with your guide. Lunch aboard your cruise ship.
Day 11: East Bank Luxor Tour
Breakfast on board your cruise, now you will begin your journey to the East Bank to visit Luxor Temple, which was once connected to Karnak by an avenue of Sphinxes, and Karnak, which occupies a big area and comprises various temples, the largest of which is the Temple of Amon.Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you will be met and assisted before being transferred to your hotel for the night.
Day 12: Departure from Cairo
Check out of your accommodation after breakfast and go to the Cairo airport for your flight.
