Itinerary 9 Days 8 Nights for Jordan Cycling tour,
Day 1:
Amman Arrival,
Meets and assist at airport, transfer to Amman to your hotel for overnight.
Day 2:
Amman – Jerash – Amman,
After breakfast, drive – ride to Jerash, was part of the Roman Decapolis and is sometimes referred to as the Pompei of the East, the best-preserved city of Roman times, and visit its theaters, temples, churches and colonnaded streets, then head to Amman for overnight.
Day 3:
Amman Madaba – Nebo – Dead Sea – Petra,
In the morning, ride to Madaba and visit the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Your next stop will be Mount Nebo, where like Moses you will be able to overlook the Holy Land and the Dead Sea.
If the sky is clear Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem will meet your eye, then ride from Mount Nebo to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, and will have free time for swimming float, mud, Evening transfer to Petra for overnight.
Day 4:
Petra – Sightseeing,
In the morning, start a guided tour and visit the many sites of Petra, the city carved into the rose-red Mountains by the Nabateans and lost to Civilization until re-discovered by the Swiss Burkhardt.
Walk through the Siq, a narrow and winding fissure between the cliffs, to reach the Treasury, the Nabatean Roman Theater, the royal tombs, the Roman Road, the great temple, the temple of the Winged Lion and the basin.
Then to your hotel at Wadi Musa, dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Little Petra,
Next morning there will be a ride to Little Petra, Beer Al Arayes, the Markets and Siq al Barid, Nabatean Quest houses and temples, and overnight Petra.
Day 6:
Petra – Wadi Araba – Aqaba,
Early morning, ride and drive to Wadi Araba Desert, then to Aqaba city at the Red Sea, and overnight Aqaba.
Day 7:
Aqaba –Wadi Rum,
Free time to explore Aqaba, then ride and drive to Wadi Rum to your desert campsite for overnight.
Day 8:
Wadi Rum – Amman,
Today you will explore Wadi Rum, the land of Lawrence of Arabia; you shall pass the famous seven pillars of wisdom, described by Lawrence of Arabia and explore Wadi Rum by jeep for two hours, escorted by a Bedouin guide.
Visit Lawrence springs, Al khazaali canyon and the inscriptions made by the Thamudic and Nabatean people centuries ago, and climb one of the sand dunes, then drive to Amman for overnight.
