When is the best time to visit Jordan ?
Best time to visit Jordan is between the Summer and Winter season, in Spring or Autumn when the sun is no longer baking hot. Winters can be very cold in most parts of the country but Aqaba and the Dead Sea area are still quite nice at this time of the year.
 
 

Are the Credit cards accepted in Jordan ?

All major credit cards are accepted although some, not all, stores may charge you a 3-5% service fee if paying for your shopping with a credit card.
ATM machines are available around Jordan should you need to use them. Jordan accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Master Card and American Express. The US $ Traveler Checks are accepted if it is provided with an identity card.
 
 
Will my cellular functions in Jordan ?
Jordan is related to most of the international networks all over the world, including Europe and America. Moreover, services of the different companies in Jordan cover 93% of the country.
 
 
What should I bring with me ?

A tourist must have:

– His own Medicines with name and chemical composition,

– Good shoes, Pullover for evenings, even in summer,

Dinar, 1 JOD is divided into 100 Piasters, or 1000 Fills

 

1 JOD = 1.4 USD,

1 USD = 0.708 JOD or 708 Fills

Government Offices: 08h00 – 15h00, from Sunday to Thursday.

During Ramadan: 09h00 – 14h00, from Sunday to Thursday.

Banks: 08h00 – 15h00, from Sunday to Thursday.

Trade Organizations: 09h00 – 19h00, from Saturday to Thursday.

Stores: 09h00 – End of the day, and certain Supermarkets are open 24hrs.

 
 
Holidays & Days off

The weekly days off is Friday and Saturday, the Stores are generally closed except large Supermarkets and Malls, Also the Downtown Souks remains open.

 
 
Electrical System

The electrical system in Jordan is based on 220 AC volts, 50 cycles and requires two-pronged wall plugs. Visitors from North America will need an adapter, which is available at most hotels.
