Itinerary
Day 1: Your private guide will meet you at the port of Aqaba and take you on a magnificent adventure, the first stop being Umm Ar- Rassas or Kastron Mefa’a (Kastrom Mefa’a), as stated in the Bible. You will see the distinctive remains of buildings that have withstood the test of time, some of which have already been restored and others are still awaiting their turn. Next, go to Madaba, where you will see the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. After visiting the archaeological park of Madaba, which is similar to an open-air museum, and learning about the ancient period’s ruins, including a number of Byzantine villas and churches, you will travel to Mount Nebo, where you, like the prophet Moses, will be able to see the Holy Land and the Dead Sea. If the skies are clear, you may also view Jerusalem, Jericho, and Bethlehem. You will return to Madaba and, after a quick stroll through the streets of this historic city, you will check into a local hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, you will drive to one of the private beaches to the Dead Sea, where you can fully experience the healing properties of the most salty sea in the world, read a book lying on the sea, have lunch and return in comfort to the port of Aqaba.
