Aqaba Red Sea Adventure Tour; Amman exploration; Jerash ruins; Madaba tour; Mount Nebo vista; Karak Castle; King's Highway journey; Dana Nature Reserve; Wadi Dana hiking; Feynan Eco Lodge stay; Wadi Ghuweir trek; Wadi Namalah excursion; Petra visit; The Monastery; Snake Monument; Jabal Haroun hike; Wadi Rum adventure; Jabal Um Ad Dami climb; Aqaba coastal scenery; Wadi Araba exploration; Lot's Cave discovery; Dead Sea experience
From the risky journeys of the past, adventure tourism inherited an interest in fresh impressions, and stories about ancient maps with mysterious signs showing the way to treasures protected by warlike tribes were shifted to writers.

Today, adventure tourism is far from risky travel filled with mysticism and random coincidences. Adventure personifies fantasies about encountering everything new and unusual, the very word “adventure” implies going beyond the routine. Unlike other types of tourism, adventure tourism is incompatible with the role of a spectator; a traveler can literally feel a small part of the Earth with his own hands.
We suggest you go on a ten-day tour of Jordan, during which you will visit the capital of Jordan – Amman, the ancient city of Jerash, Madaba, Mount Nebo, Karak, Dana Reserve, Petra, Wadi Rum, and other famous sights. In addition, you can swim in the Dead Sea and relax in the resort of Aqaba on the Red Sea. A rich excursion program and a lot of new impressions will remain in your memory for a long time!

Itinerary

Day 1: Amman - Jerash – Amman.

Today, after breakfast, you will get acquainted with Jebel Al Qala’a or the Citadel – the “heart” of Amman, its main historical core, thanks to which we know how ancient Philadelphia (the current capital of Jordan) lived. Visiting this place means touching history in the flesh, feeling the rhythm of life, mercilessly counting the minutes, years and centuries that led this city from pagan tribes through the Romans to our days.
The “Heart of Amman” is crowned with three attractions at once – these are the ruins of the Roman temple of Hercules, the Byzantine church, the remains of the Umayyad palace and the local Archaeological Museum – a treasured place for scientists and archaeologists studying this region from biblical times to the present day.
Next, we will have a trip to Jerash, (in the Bible it is referred to as Gerasa) – the best preserved and magnificently restored ancient city, one of the main cities of the Decapolis, called “Middle Eastern Pompeii”. The colonnades, temples, a beautiful theatre, spacious squares, baths, fountains, city walls pierced by towers and gates will not leave anyone indifferent. Everything here is imbued with the spirit of the former civilization of the highest level.

Day 2: Madaba – Nebo – Karak (King's Highway) – Dana

Morning drive to Madaba to visit the famous mosaic map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land. Your next stop will be Mount Nebo, from which you, like the Prophet Moses, will be able to see the Holy Land and the Dead Sea. In clear weather, you can see Jerusalem, Jericho and Bethlehem.
Further along the King’s Highway you will pass through Wadi Mujib, the “Grand Canyon” of Jordan, to Karak for lunch.
In the afternoon we will pay a visit to the huge castle where Saladin and Richard the Lionheart fought during the Crusades and head to Dana Biosphere Reserve for the overnight.

Day 3: Dana – Hiking Wadi Dana – Feynan Eco Lodge.

Today we have a trek through the outskirts of Dana, fenced in by a chain of gorges and mountains that stretch from the peaks of the Jordan Rift Valley to the desert lowlands of Wadi Araba. Mount Rumman attracts travelers with its natural beauty, and the majestic ruins of ancient Feynan fascinate.
This protected area presents an amazing variety of landscapes, where pebbly plains border on sand dunes, and wooded uplands with rocky slopes. The cliff tops in the Dana Nature Reserve reach 1,500 meters, while the lowlands are 50 meters below sea level.
We will also visit Feynan, where one of the revolutionary discoveries of life took place – the melting of copper, which occurred during the Eneolithic era (“copper-stone”), approximately 4500-3300 years. BC, and copper tools such as axes and arrowheads gradually replaced flint.
We will spend the night at the Feynan Eco Lodge, located in a biosphere reserve, which is a solar-powered retreat offering peace and tranquility, conducive to nature conservation.

Our acquaintance with the former capital of Edom and Nabatea, lost in the sands with the decline of overland trade, will begin with the Siq gorge, which is a deep fissure in the sandy rock.
